Finding The Shield House Inn !
 
From Raleigh-Durham Area: Take I-40 East to Exit 343 which is US-701, turn right onto 701 South. This will take you into Clinton. When you reach the town of Clinton, stay straight onto 701/business route. At the first traffic light, turn right onto Beaman Street (Isaac Weeks Road). Follow that around until the next traffic light, turn right onto Johnson St. Take the second left onto Sampson St. The Shield House Inn is located on the left about 1 1/2 blocks down Sampson St.
 
From Wilmington: Take I-40 West to Exit 364, Clinton/Route 24. At the traffic light, turn left onto 24 West. Follow 24 West approximately 10 miles into Clinton. Pass straight across the traffic light at 701/business route. You will pass a McDonald's on the right and the Sampson County Agri-Expo Center on the left. At the next traffic light, turn left onto College St. Follow College St. as it goes into the town square, remain straight through the traffic lights in the square and it becomes Sampson St. The Shield House Inn will be on the right, just past the Methodist Church.
 
From Fayetteville: Follow Route 24 East into Clinton. Pass through the Clinton business area of 24 (4-lane highway). Pass under the overpass for 701/421; shortly Route 24 becomes a 2-lane road. On the left, look for the First Citizen's Bank. Turn left directly after the bank onto Faison St. Continue on Faison St. for 2 blocks where Faison ends, straight across is the parking entrance to The Shield House Inn.
